AmberAlert.com Teams Up with Bashas’ to Protect Arizona Families
ARIZONA - October 22, 2008 - Arizona residents who shop at any Bashas’ supermarket will soon be seeing paper grocery bags with instructions on how to receive AMBER alerts on their cell phones through AmberAlert.com.
A message encouraging customers to “be on the lookout” comes from a community alliance between the local, family-owned grocery chain and AmberAlert.com, a Phoenix, Ariz.-based abduction alerting facilitator.
“We’re proud to partner with a community-based organization that looks out for Arizona families,” said Kristy Nied, Bashas’ director of communications.”Working with AmberAlert.com was a natural fit for us.”
AmberAlert.com VP of Corporate Alliances, Matthew Brammer, said, “Bashas’ has always invested in the community, and this is another example of how they are more than just the ’store down the street.’ They care about families and children, and are willing to educate and encourage participation in this critical public safety program.”
