ONGOING: Tangena Hussein - Detroit, MI
The Detroit Police Department is investigating an incident of an endangered missing child, Tangena Hussain, age 2. The child was left unattended in a red, 4 door, 1997 Geo Prizm, registration BSH5480/Mi unsecured in the back seat in a remote location at 20500 Greenfield, (a Marathon gas station). while the child’s mother’s boyfriend went inside to purchase gum. When he returned to the vehicle, the child was not there. The boyfriend did not check the area for the child, but drove to the mother’s work location in Southfield and picked the mother up.
The gas station clerk stated she did not see the child. The attendant then called her employer who advised her to call 911.
Police officers checked the area and spoke with residents, but the child had not been seen. If Tangena Hussain’s description is as follows: 2 years old, 3 feet 2 inches, 34 pounds and has Brown eyes, Black hair and the following scars: Scar on upper lip/chin area from a new burn. Tangena Hussain was wearing Brown long sleeved tee shirt with a cartoon picture (unknown type). White (nylon silky type) cargo pants with multiple pockets, gold sandals. Tangena Hussain was last seen at 9 pm on 10/2/08 unattended in a red, 4 door, 1997 Geo Prizm, registration BSH5480/Mi.
The Detroit Police Department says Tangena Hussain was allegedly abducted by an unknown suspect. Unknown if the suspect used a vehicle.
