Broward Schools Pilot Amber Alert Program

CBS4 in Fort Lauderdale reports that the Broward County School District has developed an Amber Watch safety program teaching 400 second graders safety tips to help prevent AMBER Alerts.

Program topics will include how to answer the door and phone, how to walk home safely from school and what do you if the child gets lost or abducted.

It will be a 12 week program featuring safety booklets and video presentations. Broward County has the nation’s sixth largest school district. For more information, visit the Broward County School District Web site.
